Design of a second language preparedness programme
UNESCO invites qualified companies to submit sealed tenders as follows:
The overall objective of this assignment is to design a second language preparedness programme for French and a second language programme for English, in Grade 3 of formal education, with a specific focus on interdisciplinary teaching delivery and the development of speaking and analytical skills at the student level
The expected outputs for this assignment are:
- A comprehensive curriculum for a French language preparedness 16h-programme.
- An equally comprehensive curriculum for an English language preparedness 16h-programme.
- An orientation workshop conducted in collaboration with the Center for Educational Research and Development trainers, aimed at empowering them with the requisite knowledge and skills for effective programme implementation.
The assignment is divided into activities including designing language learning sequences, developing detailed lesson plans and teaching materials, designing post programme tests, and conducting an orientation workshop with CERD trainers to empower them for effective implementation of second-language programmes in Grade 3.
The assignment should be completed over the following period:
- from April 5th, 2024, to September 13th, 2024.
The proposed team structure is as follows:
1 project lead,
2 pedagogical experts (one for the French language and one for the English language).
The service provider can apply for either the English or French programme or both programme designs.

Submission Notes:
Bids must be sent to procurement.bei@unesco.org on or before 29 February 2024, 23:59 (Beirut time), in strict compliance with the instructions as stipulated in the Solicitation Documents.
UNESCO reserves the right to amend the documents at any time during the solicitation process.
Any amendments or clarifications will be communicated directly to all Bidders who have requested for a complete set of solicitation documents and officially confirmed their intention to submit a sealed tender.
No remuneration will be made to companies for preparation and submission of their tenders.
