Central Asia is Preparing for the New Cycle of Periodic Reporting on Intangible Cultural Heritage

A three-day Central Asian workshop on the updated format of periodic reporting on Intangible Cultural Heritage was held on 22-24 May 2024 in Almaty.

The workshop was held within the framework of the project “Silk Road Heritage Corridors in Central Asia – International dimension of the European Year of Cultural Heritage”, funded by the European Union and implemented by the UNESCO Regional Office in Almaty

The main purpose of this training was to familiarize representatives of authorized bodies and national experts on Intangible Cultural Heritage from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan with a updated periodic reporting system under the .

The training was provided by the members of the : Ms Janet Blake, Ms Aizharkyn Kozhobekova and Ms Saniya Bazheneyeva.
