International Decade of Sciences for Sustainable Development: Transforming Sciences and Societies

On the 25th of August, the United Nations General Assembly adopted a resolution proclaiming 2024-2033 as the International Decade of Sciences for Sustainable Development. As entrusted as the lead agency, UNESCO is developing and sharing a clear vision and dedicated mission of IDSSD in close consultation with Member States, potential partners from other UN agencies, International Science Council, scientific unions, and science academies. This session will feature interactive discussions to highlight the significance of science in achieving sustainable development goals and what the gaps that hamper the science are to play its role which need to be filled through the Decade.
This session will be conducted in English.
