Malawi accepts the Convention on the Means of Prohibiting and Preventing the Illicit Import, Export and Transfer of Ownership of Cultural Property (Paris, 14 November 1970)

On 7 July 2022, Malawi deposited with the Director-General its instrument of acceptance of the Convention on the Means of Prohibiting and Preventing the Illicit Import, Export and Transfer of Ownership of Cultural Property.
In accordance with the terms of Article 21, the Convention will enter into force with respect to Malawi three months after the deposit of the instrument of ratification, that is to say on 7 October 2022.
