With over 30 years' experience, the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID) is championing bilateral development focusing on culture and sustainable development. Its side event aims to explore strategies to strengthen the advocacy on the impact of culture on sustainable development. Several high-level representatives - policy makers and cultural professionals - will discuss the role that inter-regional cooperation and cultural diplomacy play in promoting culture and heritage as levers for development in several regions of the world, from Latin America and the Caribbean, to Africa and Asia. This event, conceived as an interactive dialogue, will highlight the impact of culture and cultural diversity on the sustainable development of communities. The outcomes are expected to contribute in defining the Agency's lines of work in the next years.
