One birthday one tree or a tree for one birthday
Based in Conakry, Guinea, ACOREC is an NGO that acts against global warming, particularly involved in the restoration of vegetation cover. In order to change mentalities and inform communities about environmental protection, especially young people, a challenge was launched. The challenge, entitled #anniversaire_un _arbre ! (One birthday one tree), invited activists, artists, politicians and citizens to plant trees on their birthday, allowing everyone to participate in the fight against global warming.
This challenge has allowed the NGO to raise awareness of its actions, to collaborate on new environmental projects and to increase its impact. The volunteers have new ambitions to campaign against fossil fuels and promote renewable energies.
