World Arabic Language Day 2022 – Concert

The concert will also feature a live sand art show by David Mariam.
On the same day, roundtable discussions on the “Contribution of the Arabic Language to Human Civilization and Culture” will also be organized. And the French-Tunisian artist RamZ will perform an all-day live mural calligraphy.
As UNESCO believes in the power of culture as a force for peace, dialogue and mutual understanding, these performances are intended to raise awareness of the numerous ways in which Arabic language contributes to cultural diversity spreading a message of hope.
Declared in 2012 by UNESCO, World Arabic Language Day recognizes Arabic language as a pillar of the cultural diversity of humanity.
This concert is organized in collaboration with the Permanent Delegation of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to UNESCO, in partnership with the Sultan Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud Foundation.
This celebration also resonates with the International Decade for the Rapprochement of Cultures (2013-2022), for which UNESCO is the lead UN Agency.
