As a conclusion to Urban October, UNESCO marks the occasion of World Cities Day 2024 through a wide array of projects, across the fields of expertise of different programmes and networks on the UNESCO Cities Platform (UCP). This year, the UCP explores how sustainable urban environments are particularly conducive to youth engagement, and highlights the contribution of youth, a priority group for UNESCO, to achieving the 2030 Agenda.
