UNESCO in Gabon
Since the opening of the UNESCO Office in Libreville in 1998, it has continued to carry out various activities to promote the culture of peace in the country. We invite you to view some of them.
Presentation of the Youth-Led Campaign
Pan-African associations, United Nations youth leaders and the National Youth Council of Gabon launched the Youth Campaign for the Promotion of a Culture of Peace in Central Africa in Libreville in 2016.
The campaign was launched throughout Central Africa by the Pan-African Youth Network for the Culture of Peace (Payncop), the Network of African Youth Organisations of United Nations Leaders (Rojalnu-Gabon) and the National Youth Council of Gabon (CNJG), with the support of UNESCO and the United Nations Regional Office for Central Africa (Unoca)
The Youth on the Set of "Donnons la paix"
Annie-Flore Batchiellilys, a Gabonese singer and peace activist, participated in this 2016 youth campaign by performing the song "Donnons la paix".
"The promotion of the culture of peace is everyone's responsibility"
Annie-Flore Batchiellilys is also one of the personnalities actively involved for the Biennale of Luanda and the culture of peace.
