Ms Faith Murungi is a Ugandan female with a Bachelor鈥檚 Degree in Law (LLB Hons). Faith has been active in the Cultural Industry of Uganda since 2018. First she participated in the Secretariat that organized and hosted the 3rd East African Arts and Culture Festival (JAMAFEST) in Uganda - 2017.Faith was also part of the secretariat that coordinated the 鈥淧roject on professionalization of the film sector in Uganda, 2020鈥. She coordinated the film regional workshops that identified the key successes and key challenges of the sector (a key output of the Project). She was key in talent identification for youth to participate in the Regional and National Cultural events in Uganda namely Karamoja Cultural Events 2019, 2022; Acholi Cultural Event 2018; Ishaazi Cultural Event- 2019 and Uganda National Cultural Center Annual Events for 2019, and 2022.Currently, she is attached to Uganda Registration Services Bureau under the Directorate of Intellectual Property with the aim of analyzing the gaps in the Policy and Legal Framework to strengthen the Culture and Creative Industry in Uganda. Faith aspires to use her legal profession to create a cultural, inclusive and enabling environment for Artists in Uganda.
