Khadija currently is the Head of the Performing Arts Unit at the Department of Culture and Tourism in Abu Dhabi. Khadjia is a seasoned cultural practitioner and consultant working on the axis of artistic practice, cultural policy and research with more than 20 years鈥 experience. She worked as a consultant for international funding and development agencies, such as the European Cultural Foundation, Al Mawred, Arterial Network, for which she implemented various (technical assistance) missions in Africa and the Arab world. Her work covers a wide range of topics, such as funding, grant-making,contemporary artistic production, and improving the conditions for artists鈥 mobility in particular. She notably authored the chapter 鈥淪urviving the paradoxes of mobility鈥 as part of the 2018 Global Report monitoring the implementation of the 2005 UNESCO Convention. Khadija played a major role in developing support for the mobility of cultural practitioners within Africa. She holds a degree in Cultural Management and Arabic Language and Literature.
