Biography

Ratri is a researcher at Koalisi Seni, an organisation advocacting for the promotion of arts through supportive public policies. Ratri works on the dynamics both in policy development and community practices. She works with governments and other civil society organisations: in 2019, she led a research team that produced a set of recommendations on the set-up of the National Endowment Fund for Culture. As of 2021, Ratri trained arts praticitioners and civil society on artistic freedom. As research coordinator, Ratri has published several works focusing on artististic freedom, policy hauntology and emotional labor, including on music in the digital environment and women artists. In 2023 she contributed to the establishment of a nationwide artistic freedom monitoring website and report mechanism. She is graduated with a Master of cultural studies from University of Sydney in 2019.
