Biography

Yoonhyung has worked closely with artists and industry professionals to transform their ideas and strategies to be made into productions and circulated internationally. Throughout her 20-year career at cultural and creative industry, Yoonhyung has led numerous strategies, operations and organizational projects with both governments and corporations in and out of Korea. Her experience includes policy research and implementation, international co-production initiatives and M&E (Monitoring and Evaluation) in the audiovisual sector. As an Expert Facility member of UNESCO 2005 Convention from 2019 to 2022, she participated in the EU-funded UNESCO project on the Governance of Culture in developing countries for strengthening film industry in Uganda and Ethiopia as an international expert, providing technical assistance and sharing expertise with national teams. She also collaborated with UNESCO Almaty, New Delhi and Hanoi office on capacity building programs and ResiliArt Campaign. Yoonhyung is currently working at Korean Film Council, managing equity funds for film production and teaching issues in digital environment at university as an adjunct professor. She received BA in Film studies from Kyung Hee University in Seoul, South Korea and MA from Goldsmiths, University of London in Creative and Cultural Entrepreneurship for media studies.
