Promotion of cultural education as paramount for ensuring cultural diversity

Description of the policy/measure
Around 40 children鈥檚 creative centres operate within the republic of armenia, the main purpose of the operation whereof is to ensure the extra-curricular cultural, fine arts, spiritual, physical education, development of abilities and capabilities of children, taking their preferences into consideration. every year, 23500 children and youngsters attend the creative centres, who study in groups of decorative-applied arts, fine arts, song and music, sports, computers, journalism and foreign languages, theatre, dance, circus, etc. in 2007, the 鈥減hilharmony of schoolchildren鈥 programme, which is a programme of designated purpose and is sponsored by the state, was launched.. during the lesson-concerts, the lives and careers of world-famous composers and writers and the times they lived in are presented. clarifications are given about musical instruments, different music genres, their structural peculiarities, folk dances, etc. young participants are given an opportunity to express their true impressions and feelings about the lesson-concerts. in 2007-2011, within the 鈥減hilharmony of schoolchildren鈥 programme 156 lesson-concerts were organised, 60 out of which were in marzes. with a positive opinion from the government of the republic of armenia, the draft law of the republic of armenia 鈥渙n adult education鈥 was submitted to the national assembly of the republic of armenia. in 2010, the general assembly of the european association for the education of adults and the international conference on 鈥渧ocational education and youth and adult learning鈥 were held.
