Three decades later, it is time to celebrate the achievements and reflect on the challenges ahead.

The seminar "30 Years of the Salamanca Declaration: Achievements and Challenges for Inclusive Education" will bring together experts, educators and activists for an inspiring day of exchange and learning. Organized by Alana in cooperation with UNESCO in Brazil, Instituto Rodrigo Mendes, Globo and the Ministry of Education (MEC), this event is an opportunity to connect with those who transform and strengthen education in Brazil.

The event will occur at 

  • Place: Centro Internacional de Convenções do Brasil, Brasília (Brazil)
  • Date and time: 10 September 2024, from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm. 

The seminar will be held in person and live webcast on the MEC and the Conviva Educação YouTube channels.

The seminar will include:

  • In-depth discussions on advances in inclusive education. 
  • Launch of the executive report of the study on inclusive education and lifelong learning for teachers entitled “Educação inclusiva e a formação continuada de professores: aprendizados nacionais e Internacionais.”
  • Opportunity to interact and exchange experiences with professionals who have positively impacted the field of education.
