Call for Expressions of Interest: Enhanced media and information literacy (MIL) competencies as well as the project "Building trust in media in South-East Europe and Turkey" (deadline: 15 February 2020)
The Antenna in Sarajevo of the UNESCO Regional Bureau for Science and Culture in Europe is seeking expressions of interest from qualified and experienced individuals to support Pluralistic media institutions are facilitated, including by adoption of gender-sensitive policies and through support for strengthened community media policy and practice, while citizens, and particularly youth, are empowered through enhanced media and information literacy (MIL) competencies as well as the, the project "Building trust in media in South East Europe and Turkey – Phase 2.
In particular, the work of the consultant will be implemented within the framework of UNESCO’s Main Line of Action, Fostering freedom of expression online and offline, promoting the safety of journalists, advancing diversity and participation in media, and supporting independent media.

Expression of Interest and selection criteria
- Expressions of interest, containing the curriculum vitae(s) of consultant(s), and a written description of maximum 5 pages, indicating the technical and financial proposal. Deadline: 15 February 2020
- Expressions of interest will be selected based on the evaluation of 3 equally important criteria: quality of the technical proposal; qualifications of the expert(s) concerned; and, competitiveness of the financial proposal.
- Those short-listed will be notified no later than two weeks after the closing date.
- The maximum compensation for this assignment will include fees for a part time assignment over 10 months, with possible extension, (based on UNESCO standards). The final contractual amount payment will depend on the technical and financial proposal and the applicable UNESCO rules and regulations.
