I. About UNESCO Dar es Salaam Office
Established in 1972, UNESCO Dar es Salaam is a National Office in the East African Region that works in collaboration with the Government, Civil Society, Private Sector and development partners and with other UN Agencies within the UN Delivering as One framework to develop and strengthen policies and programmes with the aim to building peace, eradicating poverty, fostering sustainable development and intercultural dialogue through education, sciences, culture, and communication and information.

II. About the Volunteer Opportunity
Communication Volunteer
Duration: 6 months
Location: Dar es Salaam, United Republic of Tanzania
Organizational Unit: Executive Office, UNESCO Dar es Salaam
No. of volunteers required: 1
Description of the Volunteer Service
Assist in drafting communication materials.
Provide executive and communications-related support to the Head of Office, including photography and preparing briefing and visibility materials.
Develop compelling content for social media platforms such as Twitter, Facebook, and the Office鈥檚 website, including news stories and press releases.
Assist in implementing activities under the lead of different programme sectors as needed.
Perform other tasks as directed by the Head of the Office.
