Crafting.Change Tanzania
Fostering community-based development through culture-related TVET and employment

Crafting.Change seeks to promote culture-related technical and vocational education and training (TVET) as a driver for community development and a catalyst for employment in two pilot countries, Argentina and Tanzania. It supports cultural institutions, heritage sites, museums and cultural centres, assisting them to fully deploy their role and function as knowledge hubs and capacity development incubators to expand skills and competencies related to culture and arts education.
Culture is the foundation of society. Cultural sources, from heritage to contemporary art and creative industries, shape our identities, perspectives and livelihoods. Through culture-based vocational education and training, the project seeks to empower individuals to preserve local cultures, enhance their skills, spur entrepreneurship, and drive innovation in a sustainable way.
This initiative aligns with the United Nations’ Agenda 2030 and its Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and is part of a three-year Partnership Agreement between UNESCO and Alwaleed Philanthropies Global. Join us in harnessing culture and education for a more equitable and peaceful future.
This joint project is founded upon our shared understanding that culture is a renewable resource and that it can and should be harnessed to foster sustainable development
