Director-General in Berlin for International Conference on Combating Antisemitism

On 14 March, UNESCO Director-General, Irina Bokova, will travel to Berlin to give a keynote speech at the International Parliamentary Conference on Combatting Antisemitism.

is organised in Berlin by the German Government and Parliament in partnership with the Inter-Parliamentary Coalition for Combating Antisemitism (ICCA). It is held at the Bundestag and Foreign Office of Germany, with the participation of Federal Chancellor Angela Merkel and German Foreign Affairs Minister, Frank-Walter Steinmeier. Some 100 members of parliament from across the world are participating in the conference, along with speakers such as Michael Gove, Secretary of State for Justice of UK, German Federal  Minister of Justice, Heiko Maas, Italian Justice Minister Andrea Orlando, Hon Michal Keenan, Minister for Justice of Australia, Michael Muller, the Mayor of Berlin and, the President of the Bundestag Dr. Norbert Lammert, will also  be present at the event.
