The Exquisite Art of Arabic Calligraphy
The ceremony of the World Arabic Language Day is organized this year under the theme of 芦The dissemination of the Arabic language禄, in the headquarters of UNESCO in Paris. The two-day ceremony includes various conferences on the theme of this year. It is worth mentioning that the ceremony brings together a number of writers and intellectuals who came from all over the world to participate at the conferences held on 14 and 15 December 2016. Moreover, the ceremony includes various cultural and artistic activities especially the 鈥淭he Exquisite Art of Arabic Calligraphy Exhibition鈥 launched on 9 December 2016. This exhibition contains a big collection of artistic works composed of Arabic Calligraphy, designed by famous calligraphers. The World Arabic Language Day is celebrated on 18 December of every year, according to a decision of the Executive Board of UNESCO in 2012.
