The Impulso Joven Programme has reached its final stage. In Argentina, over the course of one week, all 20 grantees will come together to exchange ideas with fellow changemakers and showcase their projects.
In October 2023, UNESCO and Nestlé launched the programme , "Impulso Joven - Because Youth Matter," starting with a pilot in Latin America. This initiative aims to harness the potential and creativity of young people to build a more sustainable world and tackle current global challenges. The Programme provides young changemakers with the tools and resources they need to amplify their social impact initiatives.
Out of 919 applications from young people aged 18 to 30, 20 exceptional individuals were selected for the Impulso Joven Programme. These participants have received comprehensive support for project development, implementation, and growth through training, workshops, and one-on-one mentoring. The Programme emphasizes three main themes: promoting climate action and sustainability (8 projects), reducing inequalities and fostering social inclusion and diversity (7 projects), and enhancing mental health and wellbeing (5 projects).
