On 19 May 2025, Haiti deposited with the Director-General its instrument of accession to the Convention for the Protection of Cultural Property in the Event of Armed Conflict, its First Protocol (The Hague, 14 May 1954), and its Second Protocol (The Hague, 26 March 1999).

In accordance with the terms of Article 33(2) of the Convention, Article 10(b) of its First Protocol, and Article 43.2 of its Second Protocol, the Convention, its First and Second Protocols will enter into force with respect to Haiti three months after the deposit of the instrument of accession, that is to say on 19 August 2025.
