Learning for Empathy*: Videos from Japanese partners
These videos were developed by the Japanese partner organizations of UNESCO's Learning for Empathy* project: A teacher exchange and support programme, sponsored by the Government of Japan. They include:
- Overview of Basic Education in Japan, by ACCU
- Promotion of ESD through whole school approaches, by ACCU
- Learning support volunteer and community school committee, by Hasune Dai-ni Elementary School, Japan
- School Educational Initiatives to achieve SDGs, by Omori Dai-roku Junior High School, Japan
Due to the pandemic of COVID-19, the 2020 study visit has been postponed, hence the Japanese partners prepared the videos to share their efforts and approaches with the teachers and education officials from Bangladesh, Indonesia, Pakistan and Sri Lanka and are looking forward to maintaining dialogue and exchange.
UNESCO hopes that this initiative would help improve inclusiveness and quality of learning around the notion of empathy, which is becoming more important than ever amidst the pandemic.
