  • Promote freedom of expression and professional media development through partnerships with key media stakeholders and the government and help foster a common approach towards the promotion of press freedom, professional journalism, safety of journalists, media ethics, gender mainstreaming, minority - sensitive reporting, and crisis reporting, with the goal of broadening and deepening professional standards. UNESCO will promote information as a public good to enhance freedom, participation, the rule of law, and social cohesion

  • Partner with MoCIT, media houses, and community radios to promote media and information literacy (MIL) to empower citizens to critically engage with digital technologies and navigate issues of hate speech, discrimination, and misinformation.
