Official Visit by UNESCO Director-General to Norway
On 23-25 March, Irina Bokova will undertake an official visit to Norway. In the course of the visit, the Director-general will meet with Mr B酶rge Brende, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr Torbj酶rn R酶e Isaksen, Minister of Education and Research, Mr Knut Olav 脜m氓s, Vice-Minister for Culture, and the Vice-minister for Foreign Affairs, Mr Hans Brattskar, as well as other officials, including with the National Commission of Norway for UNESCO.
Within this framework, the Director-General will open the International Conference on the UNESCO Conventions of , and , organised at the University of Bergen.
During this visit, Irina Bokova is expected to sign on behalf of UNESCO a new Programme Cooperation Agreement that will deepen Norway鈥檚 engagement further in support of UNESCO鈥檚 work for sustainable development and lasting peace.
