The Jury of the UNESCO-Madanjeet Singh Prize recommended the laureate to the Director-General of UNESCO, recognizing its work in defending human rights by supporting indigenous communities in various sectors. The Network has also developed modules and provided translation and interpretation services, including for indigenous migrants in Arizona, New Mexico and California, in matters related to social justice and health.

In providing skills enhancement to 570 municipal authorities and indigenous youth on issues pertaining to violence against women and to youth empowerment, REDIN is not only working to improve social and economic justice and reduce inequalities, but also to promote intercultural dialogue and mutual understanding among local communities.
