This meeting stems from a collaborative process that began in 2023, with the development of a regional diagnostic on educational innovation. It has continued through various gatherings, including the ICT TALENT SUMMIT 23 in Bogotá. Key conclusions from these meetings highlight challenges such as connectivity, teacher training, and the need for sustainable, evidence-based policies—areas that ARTIE seeks to address in a structured manner.

The workshop will take place on Tuesday, 3 June at 11:00 a.m., and will feature the official presentation of the proposal to launch ARTIE, along with a preliminary strategy to strengthen capacities within ministerial teams. The session will also include a dialogue space with participating countries to prioritise joint actions, and a study will be shared on adapting methodologies to assess the education sector’s readiness for the ethical use of artificial intelligence.

With a rich agenda and the commitment of key stakeholders, this event represents a significant step towards more resilient, inclusive, and adaptive education systems aligned with the goals of SDG 4. Active participation and regional collaboration will be essential to consolidating sustainable educational transformation in Latin America and the Caribbean.
