Sharing the Findings: The 8th Malaysia-UNESCO Cooperation Programme (MUCP) Steering Committee Meeting

The 8th Malaysia-UNESCO Cooperation Programme (MUCP) Steering Committee Meeting was held recently in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia on 4 November 2019. Representatives from the Government of Malaysia, headed by Mohammad Sanusi Abdul Karim, the Secretary-General of the Malaysian-National Commission for UNESCO, co-chaired the meeting with Professor Shahbaz Khan, Director of UNESCO Office in Jakarta and Ms. Maki Hayashikawa. Chief of the Section for Inclusive Quality Education, UNESCO Office in Bangkok.
The meeting takes into account the progress and development of recently completed and ongoing MUCP projects. Core of the meeting also deliberated on the strategic approach to disseminate the best practices and key findings from the MUCP framework. All the members of the Steering Committee agreed that the findings and key results of the MUCP framework should be shared with the rest of UNESCO member States for their analysis, particularly during the coming 40th Session of UNESCO General Conference.
The findings of the MUCP projects will be highlighted during the MUCP Roundtable Discussion: Innovative Models for Promoting South-South Cooperation for Sustainable Development through Education, Sciences, Culture and Communication and Information on 15 November 2019, at Salle 12 in UNESCO Headquarter, Paris.
