Socialisation of progress on the project "Strengthening the digital skills of teachers in Chile"

Curriculum updates and the development of digital skills in teachers are essential in today's educational landscape. 91Â鶹¹ú²ú¾«Æ·×ÔÅÄ provided a framework to address these challenges, and the Ministry of Education of Chile has promoted dialogue and reflection on Digital Citizenship.
Within this context is the Project for Strengthening Digital Skills in Teachers, which has developed a collaborative proposal for a Reference Framework on Digital Competences for Teachers. Participants in this project include MINEDUC, UNESCO, a Technical Committee of Experts, and HUAWEI. The goal is to develop the digital competences of Chilean teachers in the K-12 model and to leverage ICT to improve teaching practices.
The project aims to achieve this through the adoption of an appropriate competence framework, conducting ICT skills diagnostics, and linking the results with continuous training opportunities.
Although a draft of the Digital Competences Framework for Teachers has already been developed, it is not yet an official document. A space for dialogue is needed to gather additional feedback from the various stakeholders involved. The main objective of this socialisation event is to present the document's progress and integrate the received contributions into its final version. It is worth noting that this initiative, driven from Chile, is the first Latin American pilot on this subject with an integrative vision.
