The event will feature dynamic discussions and workshops aimed at strengthening international cooperation, exchanging best practices, and exploring how higher education institutions can drive transformative sustainability efforts. By leveraging collaborative models such as public-private partnerships and the whole-institutional approach, participants will co-develop strategies to integrate sustainability across all aspects of higher education. These efforts will ensure contextually relevant and scalable solutions, particularly for institutions in the Global South.

Additionally, the virtual course Introduction to green higher education will be launched as a free online Open Educational Resource, developed in collaboration between UNESCO IESALC and National Geographic Learning. This course aims to empower educators and institutions to integrate sustainability into higher education, offering valuable tools and strategies to foster sustainability practices, promote green skills and jobs, and advance green curricula. A live demonstration of the course will provide an opportunity to explore its practical applications.

Interpretation in French and Spanish will be available for the event.
