Tracking the Transforming Education Summit’s gender-related commitments: the Global Platform for Gender Equality

The Global Platform for Gender Equality and Girls’ and Women’s Empowerment in and through Education was launched during the Transforming Education Summit convened by the United Nations Secretary-General in September 2022. Led by UNESCO and UNICEF, it convenes governments, donors, partners and civil society to monitor progress, highlight gaps, and propel transformative action towards the achievement of the Transforming Education Summit’s Call to Action on advancing gender equality and girls’ and women’s empowerment in and through education.
This session will raise awareness of the Global Platform and the steps taken to date and launch the first major output of the Platform: The Global Platform Dashboard to track progress and action.
This session will be conducted in English.
