UNESCO Beirut to provide technical assistance for Sudan’s Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research

Following a request for technical assessment from Sudan’s Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, UNESCO Beirut’s Programme Specialist for Higher Education, Dr Anasse Bouhlal, went on an assessment mission to the Ministry in Khartoum, on 3-5 December 2019.
Following a meeting with the Ministry’s undersecretary, and based on the initial assessment of the current situation in higher education in Sudan, it was agreed that UNESCO Beirut and Khartoum offices will provide the Ministry with technical support for the development of Higher Education Management Information System (HEMIS), and for the revision of the higher education policies.
