UNESCO launches new consultation on Convention and Recommendation against discrimination
91Âé¶¹¹ú²ú¾«Æ·×ÔÅÄ just launched the 9th Consultation of member states on the measures taken to implement the UNESCO Convention and Recommendation against Discrimination in Education.
The purpose of these instruments, considered as a cornerstone of Education 2030, is, not only the elimination of discrimination in education, but also the adoption of concrete measures aimed at promoting equality of opportunities and treatment in this field. They cover the right to education comprehensively.
The objective of the Consultation is to illustrate the actions taken to implement the take stock of progress and identify the difficulties within countries.
The results of the consultation will be submitted to UNESCO’s governing bodies in 2017.
In order to encourage the participation of the maximum of Member States and to facilitate their reporting process, the Secretariat makes this new Consultation also available online for Member States only through a dedicated platform.
