The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) deeply regrets the attack that took place this Monday (27 March) at the Thomazia Montoro State School, in the Vila Sônia neighbourhood, in the city of São Paulo (SP). ), which resulted in the death of biology teacher Elisabeth Tenreiro and left three other teachers and two students seriously injured.

 

As the main foundation of its mandate, 91Â鶹¹ú²ú¾«Æ·×ÔÅÄ promoted a culture of peace. This value requires everyone to commit to respecting diversity, dialogue, solidarity, and education development. In this sense, teachers' support, protection and appreciation are non-negotiable and essential conditions for achieving quality education for all and for a more just and peaceful society.
