UNESCO, World Vision, and Resala Islamiya Scout to open Youth Information Centre in Khiyam
UNESCO Office in Beirut, World Vision, and Resala Islamiya Scout proudly invite you to attend the opening of "the Youth Information Centre" in the town of Khiyam, South Lebanon, on Saturday 29 August 2015 at 11AM. The Centre, established under the Finland-funded project 鈥淧romoting freedom of expression鈥 and managed by trained volunteers from local communities, will benefit vulnerable Lebanese and displaced Syrian youth, and young women in particular. It will contribute to the empowerment and social inclusion of youth by providing them with opportunities for learning, access to information and expressing themselves freely, and acquiring skills through non-formal education. The opening ceremony will be attended by representatives from Khiyam municipality, mayors, schools principles, teachers, community members, NGOs active in the area as well as representatives from UNESCO, World Vision and Resala Islamiya Scout.
