Unmasking Online Hate: Understanding its Dynamics and How Media and Civil Society Can Respond

The webinar aims at providing participants with a more nuanced understanding of hate speech —its forms, dynamics, and underlying drivers— while proposing practical ways on how to identify and deconstruct ‘hate’ and find entry points for an impactful response in ways that respect the right to freedom of expression and safeguard public discourse.
This initiative is part of the EU-funded Social Media 4 Peace project, which aims at strengthening societal resilience against the impacts of mis/disinformation, hate speech and other harmful content online.
