Mexico City March 17th, 2021. In order to support students and teachers, and to facilitate effective access to quality educational content, YouTube and the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO)  present “Mi Aula” a tutorship content that includes subjects from the different grades of High school level Education.

The channel for Mexico gathers 1,775 videos (for high school education) that can be consulted at , where interested people will find lessons ordered according to the Curriculum of each academic subject at this level.  This content is mainly intended for students at high school education level, however, it will also support teachers that could use it as an additional educational resource that allows them to reinforce their learning.

“We have made a careful selection of videos, in order to bring the youth closer to the key points of the 2030 Agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The videos show images and compelling data that show the imperative problems we face as humanity, but also convey a message of hope, as they call on us to change and transform ourselves to make our existence on the planet viable.

These resources were produced by the different agencies, funds and programs of the United Nations, such as UNESCO, ECLAC, UN WOMEN, UNDP, among others”, added Ms. Wolpert.

To select the content, we took in to acount factors such as the content of the videos, didactic elements, language usage, and audiovisual resources. We considered that the content was aligned with the national curriculum, defined and administered by the Ministry of Education (Secretaría de Educación Pública), and with the Common Curricular Framework.

“Education is a priority for YouTube, particularly since the beginning of the pandemic, we have focused on launching new resources and sections with content to support students, teachers and families. To honor this commitment, we undertook this project with UNESCO to ​​deliver quality content available for students and teachers according to their curriculums, all in one place", commented Daniela Guerra, manager of Alliances of Education content for YouTube in Mexico.

José Alejandro Adalón Estrada, from Math2Me, explained that they focus on designing educational content that motivates people to lose their fear in mathematics.

“We want to focus on creating content that makes a difference in people lives”, he said.
