The Earth Network supports young people and youth networks committed to the conservation and sustainable use of biodiversity.

It is committed to informing, educating and supporting future generations at local, regional and global levels, unleashing the strengths of UNESCO designated sites.

Capacity building sessions on Biodiversity

The Global Youth Biodiversity Network and UNESCO worked together to strengthen the capacity of Youth around the world in their involvement in the implementation of projects in biodiversity conservation. This series of webinars aims to facilitate transformative change though building capacity of youth in a wide range of interconnected topics.

With the support of the Earth Network, UNESCO supports the participation youth representatives, including MAB Youth representatives, from around the world to the negotiation process of the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework. Through sponsoring participants to international meetings, technical workshops and communication, UNESCO is committed to raise the voice of youth networks in global frameworks on biodiversity.

Capacity Building

Through the Earth Network, UNESCO collaborates closely with the Global Youth Biodiversity Network to enhance the knowledge and skills of youth in biodiversity.

Numerous training sessions are organized to promote understanding of biodiversity issues, as well as those related to international cooperation frameworks such as the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework.
