  • IFLA continued its engagement with the Internet Governance Forum (IGF) by bringing libraries鈥 perspectives on digital to the table. The 19th edition of the Forum was hosted by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia from 15 to 19 December 2024 in Riyadh at the King Abdulaziz International Conference Center (KAICC), under the overarching theme of 鈥淏uilding our Multi-stakeholder Digital Future鈥.

  • The WSIS+20 Forum High-Level Event 2024 is scheduled to be held from 27 to 31 May 2024, co-organized by ITU, UNESCO, UNDP and UNCTAD and co-hosted by ITU and the Swiss Confederation, with the support of remote participation.

  • On January 30, 2024, the SDG Academy of SDSN hosted an official side event to the UN Partnership Forum. The event was entitled 鈥淏uilding Resilience in Youth Vulnerable to Economic, Social and Environmental Shocks.

  • 4-31 October 2023 marks the Global Media and Information Literacy Week 鈥 the occasion which was established as part of the UN General Assembly to reiterate UNESCO鈥檚 strong commitment to media and information literacy for all. BTU, as one of the active cooperating institutions and implementing actors of the project supported by UNESCO IFAP project, continues its efforts towards stronger and more informed societies through digital and information literacy capacity building initiatives.
