Digital Learning in Lebanon
In Lebanon, UNESCO, in partnership with Ministry of Education and Higher Education
(MEHE), Center for Educational Research and Development (CERD), Education Cannot
Wait (ECW), King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center(KS Relief) and other
stakeholders, builds upon existing initiatives and catalyze a coordinated approach
to digital learning in Lebanon through strategic investments in capacity building,
infrastructure enhancing, and policy development, aiming for a more inclusive, crisis sensitive
and resilient education system for all Lebanese students.

UNESCO’s approach to Digital Learning in Lebanon - Aligned Strategies and Plans
Strategic Goal and Objectives
UNESCO in partnership with MEHE and CERD works to ensure students in formal and non-formal education are provided with flexible access and relevant, gender-responsive digital learning.

Objective 1
Promote digital transformation of a more crisis-responsive and resilient education system.

Objective 2
Ensure open, high-quality and curriculum-relevant digital education content available to all learners, teachers and caregivers through digital learning platforms.

Objective 3
Strengthen the capacity to use digital technology to improve learning and to leverage digital tools for learning using evidence-based approaches among teachers, learners and other education stakeholders.

Objective 4
Foster a digital learning environment through enhancing the infrastructure and provision of digital equipment.
