CrowdTangle is a public insights tool that helps publishers, journalists, researchers, fact-checkers and more to follow, analize and report on what's happening across social media, by tracking engagement (interactions), defined as reactions, comments and shares. CrowdTangle can therefore be used to compare performance of public accounts and understand how public content (specific topics) spreads on social media. The tool only tracks data on public content shared on Facebook, Instagram and a few other platforms.
