Gender Development Index (GDI) & Gender Inequality Index (GII)

The two indices measure disparities and inequality between men and women in human development by analysing three basic dimensions: health, knowledge and living standards, as well as four key aspects of human development: reproductive health, empowerment, education, and labour market participation. These shed light on women's situation in 162 countries.
