Ms. Nyakundi is an AI Fellow at Research ICT Africa and an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya. She has contributed to several AI initiatives. As a Regional Network Manager for the Global Index on Responsible AI, she co-designed the methodology and processes to assess responsible AI use across 135 countries and coordinated a network of global experts. She co-led Zambia¡¯s Data Policy and is developing Somalia's. She was Kenya¡¯s expert for UNESCO¡¯s RAM and was part of the technical working group for Kenya¡¯s AI strategy. She consults for UNESCO on RAM implementation in Kenya, Rwanda, Mauritius, and Tanzania.
