CERMI is the platform for the representation, defense of rights and political advocacy of spanish citizens with disabilities. CERMI was founded in 1997 by the 6 main spanish organizations of people with physical, organic, intellectual, sensory and psychosocial disabilities. CERMI has been assigned since 2011 as an independent mechanism of the CRPD, to protect and monitor the implementation of the present Convention.
