Dr. Ilenius Ildephonce is a Computer Science lecturer and Head of the School of Science, Computing, and AI at the University of the West Indies, Five Islands Campus. His research focuses on AI and digital game design, emphasising science and technology for sustainable development. He has contributed to global and regional AI ethics initiatives, including the Global AI Index and UNESCO¡¯s AI Readiness Assessment in Antigua and Barbuda. Dr. Ildephonce advocates for ethical AI use and collaborates with countries and organisations to assess AI¡¯s impact on infrastructure, evaluate readiness, and identify strategies to improve efficiency and address regional challenges.
