Julia Pomares is a public policy expert and strategic advisor with over 25 years of experience in institutional reform, digital transformation, and AI governance and adoption. She is Regional Director for LATAM at the Global Initiative for Digital Empowerment (GIDE), and a Visiting Professor at Di Tella University, where she teaches AI Regulation and Prospective Policy Analysis. She is Lead Author of UNESCO¡¯s AI Readiness Assessment for Argentina and is currently supporting UNESCO in designing a roadmap for revising its global AI preparedness methodology. She holds a PhD in Political Science from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
