Dr Shyam Krishna is a research leader specialising in the social impact, governance, and policy design of AI and emerging technologies. He has worked globally with governments and civil society to align AI strategies with national priorities, build regulatory frameworks, and strengthen institutional capacity. His multidisciplinary background spans technology policy, analytics, mixed-methods research, and engineering. Through roles at RAND Europe, UNESCO, and the Alan Turing Institute, he has contributed to AI governance initiatives in the UK, EU, India, Indonesia, T¨¹rkiye, and Tanzania, including national assessments, stakeholder training, and expert guidance on ethical and safety risks.
