Proyect¨¢ Tu Futuro (PTF)
Proyect¨¢ Tu Futuro (PTF) is Argentinas first Social Impact Bond (SIB), launched in Buenos Aires in 2018 to address low secondary school graduation rates and high unemployment among young adults. The program provides weekly workshops on soft skills training, employment support, orientation, and intermediation with companies. It targets vulnerable, unemployed youth aged 17-24 living in the five most deprived boroughs in the South of Buenos Aires. The initiative aims to help participants complete high school (if applicable), find employment, and retain jobs for up to 12 months. By October 2020, 1,101 young adults had enrolled, with 751 completing training, 304 in training, and 46 dropouts. Of those who finished training, 33.8% found employment, 18.8% sustained jobs for four months, and 2.9% maintained employment for a year.
As of October 2024, the program remains active, with the Government of Buenos Aires continuing to accept applications through its official website.
