Swiss launch of the 2021/2 GEM Report on non-state actors in education
Hosted by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) in cooperation with the Swiss Commission for UNESCO, the Swiss Network for Education and International Cooperation (RECI) and the Swiss Forum for Skills Development and International Cooperation (FoBBIZ) this event shared findings and recommendations from the 2021/2 GEM Report.
Participants joined workshops with a variety of stakeholders from educational institutions, the private sector, and philanthropyto discuss the role of non-state actors - with a focus on the private sector - at different levels of the education system. The goal of quality education for all is broadly shared, but the questions of who provides it, who participates in it, and how it is regulated were addressed during the event.
