Контекст

The Atuel River basin, spanning Mendoza and La Pampa, faces increasing pressure from climate change, including reduced snow cover and multi-annual droughts. This affects water supply from upstream snowmelt and rainfall, impacting hydroelectric plants, agriculture, tourism, and ecosystems, requiring optimized water management to sustain both human and environmental needs.

Действия

November 2024: Partners are meeting to plan the stakeholder engagements. Currently the team from the University of Cincinnati is making a climate model to be used for the vulnerability assessments, evaluation of the adaptation pathways, etcetera in later steps.
